Reporting to: Plant Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance and operational tasks to uphold the optimal functioning of equipment and facilities, following established procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintenance work
- Proficiency in Greek and English languages (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Efficiency, organization, and problem-solving ability
- Teamwork, integrity, and consistency
- Understanding the importance of HACCP principles and relevant legislation, and the importance of following those principles.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts routine inspections of equipment to ensure equipment operates as intended. Identifies and addresses potential issues before they escalate into costly repairs or downtime.
- Adheres to preventive maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure equipment remains in good working condition.
- Timely diagnosis and resolution of technical issues.
- Keeps Equipment Registry and maintains daily work log.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and consumables necessary for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinates with suppliers and vendors to procure replacement parts and components in a timely manner.
- Communicates effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding maintenance issues, progress, and recommendations for improvement.
- Accompanies external contractors, ensuring adherence to agreed specifications and timelines.
- Collaborates with the Quality Control and H&S departments to ensure compliance of maintenance operations with quality and H&S standards.
