Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support and Infrastructure Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure, providing technical support to end-users, and managing our network and server environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both IT support and systems administration, with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technology management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:
    • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, install/configure/maintain hardware and software components for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
    • Assist with onboarding new employees.
  • Systems Administration:
    • Manage and maintain server environments, including Windows and Linux servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
    • Monitor and optimize network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and connectivity issues.
    • Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data backup solutions.
    • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Infrastructure Management:
    • Oversee the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
    • Plan and execute IT infrastructure projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure and manage IT equipment and services.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Provide training and guidance to end-users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering  or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 year proven experience in IT support and systems administration roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, network protocols, and hardware components.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies (e.g. Vmware, Microsoft 365, Veeam).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft Windows Server etc.) are a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and Greek, both written and spoken.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position (Monday to Friday) with occasional on-call or after-hours support as needed.
  • Office-based role.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and move IT equipment.
  • 13th salary is offered upon completion of 6 months of employment.
